where did you get the plants. I love your tank

I've been working on separating the males and females so this is the ten gallon for my male, Scrump. Crappy cell phone pictures are all I have to offer.

Love the pyramid, Shark! Take it easy on lighting up your lil' buddy tho, for his sake.

Thanks! And yeah, the light is really only on for the photos. The vast majority of the time he's comfortably in the low light of my bedroom. For being in the sunshine state, my apartment is actually quite dark and cool for him!

Here is the new set-up I just created for my axie Axel, a male (pretty sure?) pink leucistic.

will probably add more anubias!

Axolotls don´t need a lot of products in the water, mine live in pure tap water.

Be careful saying stuff like that - I don't know what the tap water is like in Belgium, but in the US there are a LOT of things in tap water (chlorine, chloramines, heavy metals) that are inherently harmful to Axolotls and it's just not something we can do here.

The big plants in the back are ExoTerra plants. They are meant for reptiles but I asked the company if they are water safe and they are :)

Got some different plants and did some re arranging

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.
