Please post pictures of your tank!!

I assume the glass is for feeding them on Birdyy? I don't see a problem with it because it's really no different to having a feeding jar (which some people find easier as opposed to hand feeding etc). Yeah it's a cute little ornament to have, even without the air bubbles. I'm hoping to give my tank a more natural look by filling it with driftwood and plants

yeah the glass is for feeding :) i'll hand feed most times but it's for the times i feed axolotl food pellets. i made absolutely sure there wasn't a sharp edge on it before i even considered putting it in there.
i love the natural look, hope you upload some pics of it when you do!!

Because then your tank will look great and because the plants will grow better when you remove them out of the pots.

Dans really like your tank, so simple but looks awesome. Upload more photos when you have added some plants.

Hello Tusken.

I added some plants, but not took a picture yet because I dont have a good camera, this photos that I posted of my tank was with a camera semi-pro of a friend.

Your tank looks really great. I really hope I'll be able to find some similar wood. Did you get them from a LPS or online? And how big is the aquarium?

The aquarium is 80x40x40.

Here is my new setup. :D

i would not have as much water in that, half a tank is more than enough. Considering the height of water and size of the axolotls its quite a distance for them to get to the surface.

Axolotls don't need to get to the surface really, some do just for fun:smile:

Your tanks are all very nice!

Here's mine, it's not finished thought...

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.
