Please post pictures of your tank!!

Just be careful of paint on the dinosaur, My goldfish have a playschool diver in their tank lol.

I know someone on here has a storm trooper in the corner and aimed to have a deathstar hide :p

You should be fine aslong as it has no metal components and try finding one that is coloured by the plastic and not painted :)

Ooh awesome idea! I've been scouring the internet for plastic dinosaur toys. This is the sort of person you turn into if you stay at university too long. I've seen the stormtrooper, it's amazing! :)

I've got a few playmobil dinos in one of my tanks, some don't sink, others do :) I have a croc in there too which has been chucked onto its back at the mo! But I've had no issues with them, I had a duplo hide I made but it was difficult to put together in the water again after cleaning so I gave up with it in the end lol

these tanks are in perfect condition. did you guys JUST set them up and take pictures? algae always seemed to get the better of my tanks.

I wish i could afford a fancy elaborate tank my axolotl just has his nessecitys. Sand, Rocks, Hiding place:eek:

Here's one of my tank about a week ago, the only change is now I have some riccia moss coming out of the ice cream tub hide.. and I also have a breeding net in there waiting for my eggies to hatch! Yay! :)

Kitties: black and white is my 'Merlin' (who was Molly until we found out he was male)
and the grey one is my bf's girl called 'Cricket'. :)

I swapped everyone about yesterday so redid the tanks a bit.
The first one is Milco's paradise at the moment, once s/he has caught up to Xochi in size, Xochi will be back in there :)
The second is Xochi's temporary tank to slow his/her growth rate a bit. Seems happy enough for now though, close enough to permanently give me the eyes :p
The third is Scylla's temporary tank. She's been kicked out of the 4ft she had all to herself and has been put back in her original 2ft until I can buy/make a tank divider :)

So who is in the 4ft?

How big are those tanks, Star, they look so tiny.

Out of interest, is there actually (non-anecdotal) evidence that axolotls growth is affected by their tank size?

Got my 2 leucies in the 4ft at the moment. Adding Scylla once I have a divider since she munched their legs off last time. I am hopefully swapping a viv I don't use for another 4ft tank soon so be moving monsters about again :)
The first tank is 2ft x 1ft x 1.5ft, the second is 16.5" x 7.5" x7.5" and the third is 2ft x 1ft x 1.5ft
I haven't found any evidence yet, I did make a thread asking about it but had no conclusive answers. I've noticed mine tend to grow quicker in a larger tank, well, 3 out of 5 so far have but I'm not sure if a smaller tank than they are used to will slow the growth rate. Xochi isn't cramped though considering s/he is only 5" at the moment :)

Here's my tank, I'm not completely satisfied with the setup though, I think I want to add more plants or hides to it so any suggestions would be great :)

Tank looks nice!
Gave me a few ideas...

All of your tanks are so pretty! You have very lucky pets. I love this forum, it makes me realise there are people who love their animals and give them lives they deserve. Especially "fish"...anything that lives in a fish tank people seem to regard as a decoration and not an animal that needs proper care. Great work, they look fantastic

Hi all, I'm new to the forum - here's my current setup, hoping the bump might encourage more people to put pics up, I love looking at all the different tank setups :)

this thread makes me excited to get my new, bigger tank. so many ideas!

Here's mine from start to present! 25 gallon (tall) with a sponge filter. I just finished this a half hour ago. Marty, the goldfish, is just in there to reassure me that the water quality is on par (not that I haven't tested it obsessively every time I move something...). He'll move back to his tank when I take Snuffles out of the fridge tomorrow :D

now I need to set up the quarantine tank for Pickle... I love aquascaping!

Edit: the fourth one with no pebbles is the current arrangement (just in case that wasn't obvious)

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
