No, its water sprite :) I love it, it is very hardy and grows really quickly, it allows me to have a bright light without bugging my lotls. It covers my whole 110gallon and 10gallon tanks. I only had a small ziploc bag about 4months ago.

Finally my DIY 3D background is done and my axolotls have moved in and settled down. I'm still in the process of getting nicer plants (the FS i go to usually is quite a while away and I don't have a car). So these plants are only temporary and by the looks of it my axolotls don't like it and have already ripped up two plants . I'm really pleased with the results :). Yheres so many hiding places, that 3 or the 4 axolotls in there can not be seen!

Here's mine!

:) Freshly set up today.

I like it! Aqua clear filters are great. I'm running an AC 110 on my 55 discus tank, and it's been great. I also use led lighting, and like it alot. Are you going to be using any live plants?

Not a great photo of my tank but just thought id share - done these bubbles to brighter up the wall around my tank :D

The only live plants I have in there are some marimo moss balls. They look really nice on the light sand.
Yeah the aquaclear is great! I am a little concerned though as the filter doesn't hold as much media as my 90 liter does and it barely holds more than my five gallon. Does this hamper its efficiency?

Well, it might alter efficiency a bit. You may want to get a second filter for the opposite side of the tank.
Your other option would be to get a hydro pro sponge filter(the ones with the reticulated sponge have the best flow) for additional bio filtration.

I can finally add my pic of the final setup for all my three babies with the separator removed! Yay!:))

Nice work on that background. Love the setup - well done!

This is Habib's tank! It's a 29 gal which won't provide enough floor space for when he's bigger but seems to be working well for the mean time!

So just thought I would share a picture now that my tank is all set up and cycled and also wondering if someone could confirm my guess that both of these "guys" are actually guys and if the yellow guy is like a melanoid golden or something?

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.
