Please post pictures of your tank!!

A 72 gallon with one goldfish and two axolotls is not going to have overstocking water quality issues. I have raised goldfish with axolotls and african claweds for a few years now and with deep tanks I have not had an issue. Once the goldfish is of significant size it gets introduced during a trial period. Those that work out stay, those that don't get moved.

Enjoy my tank, but my stocking is fine in my hands at this point. I don't recommend it for those who are not familiar with both species and make that known for those who see my tank and like the combo.

That floating plant is water wisteria, grows like crazy in all of my tanks and makes a great canopy tank.

So you have a golden and a wildtype.
It is possible to keep goldfish with axolotls but I wouldn´t do it because they would eat the bloodworms and the axolotls would starve. Else I would have some in my tank to.

I don't feed bloodworms. My axolotls are fed earthworms.
The goldfish eats goldfish pellets.

I loooove the statue in your ten gallon!!!! Totally awesome!! hahaha!! great setups!!!

Here is our new tank. we are new to Axolotl keeping this is our tank our Axolotl arrive wed if we are ready. Any tips welcome.

These are some really gorgeous tanks. You guys are really making me want to set up my own.

2gsom your tank looks great but a few hides would make your Axies way happy, just something they can feel safe in.:D

Here is our 175 litre tank for our 3 axies :) I tried to make it as natural as possible, they have a few hiding places, including a large hollow part underneath the log, we want to get some better plants that will do well in low light conditions but so far we seem to have a happy eco system going :)

I would put the plants directly in the soil and I would remove the ship then it would be a great looking tank.

They hide in the ship as it has a hole in the side of it, you cant see it from the photo though :) All of the plants are in pots except the long thin ones, they are buried in the sand which is why a couple have been uprooted :p

my new set up, have decided to go away from the artificial look in both this and my tropical tank, there is 2 caves one at each end. i have Japanese rush and java moss in this tank. its 900mm long and 400mm wide and i have a black axie and a smaller golden albino.

Does anyone know if it's ok to put live Bamboo in an Axie tank?

I would use much less sand, because toxins can accumulate from wastes and food. I've heard that half an inch to an inch of sand is a good amount. Make sure to stir the sand when cleaning!

my axie tank, to the left. it hasn't changed for about 6 months now lol. next to it, you can see the chiller on the floor, and another tank next to it waiting to be filled.

the water in my axie tank is filtered by a internal power filter, which feeds the chiller, and the chiller empties in the trickle filter. in the sump above the tank there is filter wool, below that ceramic noodles for my biological media, and above the lot is a layer of smooth river pebbles on top to make it look nicer. I also grow peace lilies in there, but the tank doesn't get much light so the lilies aren't doing too well. the water from the chiller is spread over the stones and media by a spray bar and once the water flows through the media, it goes back into the tank at the top right corner. as you can imagine, my biological colony is huge with all that space to grow, essentially 2 filters, a chiller and about 3M of pipe. I get just 0 ammonia, nitrates and nitrites because the lilies suck most of it out.

So here is my thirty gallon long with two axxies, both female. You can see Ruth the leusistic in the bottom right corner, and Toothless my melanoid(or wild, I can't decide) is hiding somewhere. Lol

What did you use to put on the small tank? I am looking for something to make a cap over my tanks, but I want something simple.

I made the lid for the small tank with craft mesh, I don't think it will work for a big tank though, cause you would have to tie a bunch of them together, and they get heavy. Lol! I would try window screening, from a hardware store with a simple light wood frame. :)
