AHHHH!!!! I've been overloaded with cuteness!!! I love this thread!! I can't wait till I get my new Axie in September or October!!! It's just way too hot here in Kentucky for him/her to be shipped right now. *Sigh* but when I do this thread will be spammed of him/her! :) In my opinion, it's way too long to be without an Axie :( It's been lonely since my 1st Axie passed on over the rainbow bridge :(
In the meantime I will just be overloaded with cuteness on here! :)

Hello everyone! I am a new axolotl owner. I just recently got an axolotl and I am curious about his/her color type. His/her name is Apollo. I am not sure of the gender yet as Apollo is still very young, only 4 1/2" long! The pet store that I acquired Apollo from didn't take care of the gills too well. They even broke some of Apollo's gill off while retrieving him/her for me :( ! I would post photos but for some reason I can't so I will do my best to describe Apollo. Golden on the back and top of head. The rest appears albino. The gills are pink and splotched with white. The top of the head also has some white spots.

These are my 2 axies. Pachu is my wild and Suki is my leucistic. They are my favorite part of my family. Shhhh don't tell the others. Lol

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much
