The Cute Axie Pictures Thread #2

Group hug! ^^

Looks more then just a group hug to me :p

Axie Stacks, that's how I call that.

I should be sleeping but this thread is addicting! All the cuteness :)

This picture doesn't really capture what I'm trying to show you, but Astrid's gills keep getting more beautiful. She is puzzling to me because she eats like a monster compared to my others and continues to grow and become more vibrant looking. Something seems to be different about her. She is much more aggressive, too. Any thoughts?

Dolly is dancing her beautiful and graceful pirouettes while Tita and Kerli watch on enviously. They're too fat for this.

Sharon, those pictures thoroughly cheered me up. I've had a terrible day and the forum is full of so many sad endings tonight that those cheeky, goofy pictures were lovely to see :)

I'm glad. I haven't been too active on here lately....I should probably see what's been going on. :(

How about 'Bugsy'? He is making that face...

From 'Bugsy Malone' the ganster
"Yeah, my name's Bugsy, see... "

My recently renamed Cthulhu being his usual silly self.

I swear I can have whole conversations with this little guy. He'll swim around at the surface and watch me intently, and occasionally he'll blow bubbles like he's trying to say something back. Such a cutie. :D

Ooh, another axie called Cake :) (Thinking about a different name though. It's a copper male, looking for a cute foid related name...)

Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
