This one should be named...
Casper or Spook :)

<3 >o_o< <3

I named her Astrid a while back (but I like Casper, too...hmmm....)! Yesterday I finally learned that my melanoid is a male (!), so I finally came up with a name for him a little while ago. Rupert. Or Gilbert. Hmmm..... (My boyfriend just shakes his head when he hears the names I pick......) :p

Ha ha ha I remember when it was just a head shake ;) now he's dialing the number to the asylum & secretly hoping I'll run out of names that start with 'S' lmao :D so far we've got
Splat
Squishy
Sunbeam
Spottle
Sparkles
Squirt
Snork
Sully
Spook
Stumpy
Sid/Silver
C3-PO (sort of sounds like an s)
Dave - now known as SexyDave
Trog - he broke the S run although I really wanted to call him Stimpy lol

hmmmm after listing them, I think it really might be a problem  lol

Spook! That's so cute <3

I don't know if anybody remembers Nike from a while back when I posted about his bent tail, and didn't know if he had a great future ahead of him, I am pleased to say Nike is 4months old and is perfectly healthy! Only problem I have seen thus far is that if he is floating, and decides to swim downwards to the bottom, he spirals because of his tail. poor guy but I still laugh when I see it!

And then Echo and Texas were showing a loving bond on the rock <3

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
