Theyre huge in comparison to how tiny they used to be lol. All legs are grown in which means once the weather starts to warm Ill be rehoming most of the 10 kiddos I have left :D

Seth sounds like he may need a hug XD I might too though, they're so adorable ;__; I can't wait to put them in my 55 (once I'm ready, that is)!

Unfortunately we live a long ways away, so a air hug will have to do -sob-.

Looking good! ooh, I love the snails, I have that exact kind in my tank too, do you know what kind they are?

They're 2 months. They only had snapping contests when my supplier couldn't get in the stupid black worms. Other than that they're kept well fed so no, no snapping.

Seth theyre pond snails, the bigger ones are baby japanese trap door snails. I believe that's the only two kinds I have in there XD

Mine are between 4 and 0 days old. :)

A bit smaller than that! When did you switch from BBS? What did you move on to? Online supplier? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I love that stage. Every day there's a marked growth that's visible. Plus they're so dang cute LOL.

Hmmm, I think they were big enough to start eating black worms after about 2 weeks. I just threw some in there and they figured it out pretty fast. I think I posted about their switch to black worms in this thread somewhere, there should be a picture for comparison. Ill go look and see if I can find it.

I actually buy my black worms locally, I get a great deal on it by the pound, but they have them for sale on this site too for a great price.

They switched over to eating blackworms on nov. 6th and they were laid the month previous on the 14th. I also noted that some or most were getting the nubs for the front legs in when I switched them to black worms. Hope that helps!

Sure does! Any and all info. I'm so far baffled by my birth time table. Laid on 27th/28th of November. 2 Week mark on the 11th. None hatched until 15th (One did...and died). The rest hatched 16-18, with 3 more to go. The overall batch sent to Willowcat started on the 11th, but he had higher temps. Still mine weren't THAT low, just room temp, mid 60s at the lowest.

If you have any specific questions I'll try to help! I've raised a few with pretty good luck.

You'd be shocked what a few degrees difference it can seriously make. Mine all sat at about 68/69/70 and hatched within two weeks I believe. There might have been something wrong with that baby, hence why it hatched so much earlier than the others. Kind of like the ones that stay in the eggs for too long. If the rest have hatched it's okay to force hatch the remaining 3. Once the bulk of mine start hatching I just hatch out the rest.

Unless there's something seriously wrong with your tap water I'd think otherwise. That's not to say that water quality is great everywhere but unless you've tested it and what not..well there's no saying. I've placed mine directly into tap water with no negative issues. In fact I'm rather rough with my kids usually without meaning to but they all seem to do fine. Again though this is why I'm saying it could be a genetic factor, or even down to the fact that it was moms first batch from the sounds of it which usually has a decreased survival rate.

To be on the safe side, the kids get parent tank water for their daily changes and the parents get tap water top off. The water is good. Been tested plenty as we had fish for over a year before the axies.
