Cynops Orientalis Price list (and something else)

Whisper 10i are awesome, I recomend getting one. Or get a slightly bigger size.

~John

Yeah..A whisper 20i?
Do they even have those?
Well if they do I'm getting one...

They do---very powerful filters! I have one for my axolotls in their 55 gallon tank---I would restrict the outflow from it by putting plants/rocks right under the outgoing water, since the current those 20is make is too much for most calm-water-lovin newties. I'd say a 10i is plenty for a 20 gallon newt aquarium.

Oh! I thought it was like...10 gallons=Whisper10i
20 gallons=Whisper20i but I guess not...how much does cycling a tank cost?Is it even necessary for cuadates?

Yes it is very nessasary. Cycling dose not cost anything. All you do to cycl a tank is add water and everything else. Maybe some fpoo, or food and wait 30, test the ph, amonia, nitrate and nitrite. I do not know the exzagt levles you want but other pplz do..

~John

Well I can't edit it so...

I found it it cost about 15.00 bucks but is it available in most petstores?
So I have 30(40 on monday) bucks now enough should I like buy the tank and gravel? So I can cycle it?

and why is that?you should be more helpfull then "no you can't" I mean why?

I think you might need some fish food or something to provide the food needed for the bacteria.
TO speed up the cycling process, it is better to use a heater for the aquarium first. Which will speed up the bacteria growth. But must remove the heater and let the tank cool down before you add in your newts.

And maybe if you cycle the tank with the filter will be better. Since the filter will also serve as a biological filtering system. It is supposed to host a great amount of nitrifying bacteria as well. Starting them together might be more effecient.

Adding plants will actually slow down the cycling process. But if you want to add it, add it after the tank is cycled and then add the plants. But adding the plant might stir up lot of unhealthy things for newt. So dont add the newts right after the plants are added.

You also need air pump to pump oxygen in the tank so the bacteria can growth.

Therefore, I think that is why just buying the tank and gravel, adding in water and food will not get your tank cycled. There are more things needed.

Allright

A lot of pet stores will test your water for free. So if money is an issue for you, you might want to ask around before buying your own test kits. Its always good to have your own, but it isnt really necessary if you can get your water tested somewhere else.

Diego, why do you want a 20 gallon, if you plan to put only 2 firebellies in it..?
