I looked trough the diseases on axies and this doesn't seem to match anything. It also doesn't seem to me to be anything, but just wanted to double check. My two dark axies seem to have a white discoloration around their mouths, one more than the other. It is not a fungus or white slime, it just looks like the pigment is disappearing. Any ideas?

some axolotl especially the wild ones show us their mucous membrane ... I have a couple with this kind of white coat around the mouth and sometimes on the left and right of their bodies ... but as older as they became this coat wasn't seen anymore. Maybe this could be the mucous membrane by your axie too?

I've got one male that has developed all white lips, and one that has developed one white lip. Just like you described, they kind of ... faded.
