Aussie mate!

All my dad's side of the family is British, though.. so while I have my meat pie, I like a cuppa tea, too. :p

Ridgy Didge!

I'm American whose dad was born in Cuba and yet I speak very little spanish.

American born and raised, German father (later naturalized), German-American mother

:O The shame! :p
I´m half celt, half iberian, all spanish. My mum´s side is from the far north, our spanish version of the welsh (blue eyed, fair skinned), while my dad has a typically mediterranean look (brown eyed, dark skinned, big nosed). (Just saying i was spannish from spanish stock sounded too boring).

If i ever get the money, i´ll get one of those DNA tests, just for the fun of it. I´d love to hear about what my ancesters where up to after they left africa.

teutonic, all the way to the 1600s. From the Teutoburger Forest, where the Romans once got their mini-skirted buttocks whooped by the ancient Germanians, and where not much happened since then.

Ran off because I didn't like all the beer; after some globe trotting ended up on the frozen tundra of northern Alaska.

Born and raised in Washington USA...maternal Irish/French paternal Czech/African... yeah I know... odd mix lol

I'm a bitsa, bits of this and bits of that (English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh) my mum's family were Flemish. I generally just say British though...

I was born and raised in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. This is a border city with El Paso, Texas. It used to be a very nice city to live with lots of friendly people. Nowadays is just the opposite due to the government corruption.
Later on I came to El Paso to continue my studies in biology and geology and I am now an American citizen via naturalization.
Senad: I love the movie "Before the Rain".

oh? Now you gotta tell us what they found out! Aren't all Europeans supposed to go back to just 7 female ancestors or something like that?

I think I better stay away from DNA tests; I'm a bit worried I'll find out I'm not 100% human....

This is the "cover" page of my DNA testing result. Basically, my family moved out of Africa into Europe, decided they liked it, and stayed. Until my father emigrated to the US.

Hey,if you don't mind shareing how much did it cost for them to do that?

pretty cool. Do they give you a time-line too? Of course, everybody's family came from Africa if you go far enough back - but how long ago?

I was born in texas in the usa and lived mostly in missouri my whole life but recently moved to florida.
I miss missouri.

I think it's hard to really tell a lot of people's true "roots" these days lol. we are all so integrated. but my ancestors came from scotland on my dad's side and my mom's side they came from germany.

Representing The Netherlands, though that's my nationality my bloodline can be traced back to spain when they were invading us :p my great great great grandmother must have had a little shag with juan pablo or something :p if they take your town, might as well cross breed with them :p
And yeah I like cheese, but I do not live in a windmill :p

Brilliant, thanx for sharing, Dawn!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
