Question: What's the story behind your axolotls name?

Face of Boe Kids are awesome!
My gold is called Ziggy, like Ziggy Stardust, courtesy of my man.
My leucistics are called Hephaestion, the gay lover/best friend of Alexander the great, because I am a Classics geek. The other is called Haku, after the river spirit dragon in Spirited Away, when the small ones swim, it reminds me of water dragons. Also because I am a Japanese/Hayao Miyazaki geek.
My last one...Dickie, a wildtype, well, its origin is pretty immature. Someone suggested something silly, and it just stuck before I could think of anything else. It turned into Dickie pretty quick. Her first name is Larry but I never call her that.

Also my baby that was born after only a week is called B-Diddles/Trent Reznor, depending on who I'm talking to. Tough wee squirt. The rest of my babies are named after the first 150 pokemon, not that I can tell them apart.

Forgot to post about my own names. I've got Ghost the golden albino, whenever he sleeps his frills used to go really pale and the first time I saw it I thought he was dead! Thus he's Ghost! Because I don't like zombies.

Next is Gigs, it was originally a nickname a gave her when she was a hatchling because she was the biggest out of the lot. Still is and that name's stuck because I didn't want to sell such a playful spirit!

Lastly is Cola- my boyfriend suggested the name. She's a darker wildtype than Gigs and she's pretty fizzy (in the aggressive sort of way) like coca cola. I was also drinking some coke at the time

Mel - u meany LOL, I love Zak naming our pets always makes me laugh!!! Have had to sway him a few times as he comes up with random things or stupid names lol he wanted to name his newt Holly but I said it was a boy so he said ok lets call it boy, honestly Go on I dare you let him name one xx

LOL I already know it'll be Ben 10. He wont even like ben 10 in 10 years.

Both of my axies are named after Doctor Who related things. And I'm not a kid! (Well, on the outside)

my axies names are Pixie Lotl (female wildtype) and Carlo Axolotti (male leuc). Pixie Lotl cause its funny and she's female lol and Carlo cause its a Mexican sounding name.
