Question: What kind of little coldwater fish can you feed axies

guppies are the best feeder fish
they are easy to keep and they breed like crazy
30 days of isolation to prefent fungus and parasits from entering your tank

yes i think i will get some cold water guppies ;)

Watch out with the guppies. My lazy sod made friends with them, they had babies and now I have a separate tank with two babies called Galaxy and June LOL. The rest went as feeders for an oscar. Mainly because they would filthy up my tank in a day!

If you havn't notice everyone quarantines their feeder fish for 2 weeks or more. That is because they can transmit parasites and fungus to your Axies. I fed my Axie rosey reds one time. One time cause shortly after I got a fungus probelm with my axies.I cleared up the problem and have not fed feeders again. And guess what? No fungus problems. Stick to earthworms and the soft trout pellets than many people feed. Feeder fish are not worth having to do salt baths, twice a day for 5 days!!! Beef heart is only going to raise the risk of an obese animal. Organ meat is also known to cause heart desease in humans and probaly won't help your axies life span either. If you want to give your axies a treat try some chopped crayfish tail meat or little slivers of freshwater fish from your market. I have used talapia, catfish and salmon. If you can find a axie that eats cows in nature stay clear of the water or get a bigger boat.

:Dsorry had to add a comment - LOVE the comment about the cow at the end - LOL - after reading about the way little fish can attack the axies -i use frozen blood worms -

good point about the guppies and minnows i think they will make my tank dirty and i dont really have the time to do salt baths if my axie gets sick so i might find some fresh water fish or just feed her earthworms and other food
