any advice on weening a juvie onto earthworms? ive fed my juvie a few red wrigglers right before winter and then they were out of season until just recently. now when i try and feed her one she turns her nose! im really trying to get away from blood worms and krill. and advice is greatly appreciated!

Still trying with the red wigglers? They taste gross and many axolotls refuse them initially. Try feeding only the earthworms and nothing else. If they refuse, they go hungry for the day. Keep offering daily until they eat, because they'll get tired of being hungry eventually.

This process worked with my 'lotls anyway. Now they are red wiggler slurping pros :D

I got roughly 4 dozen Red Wigglers to start a compost colony for my axie. Until they have bred enough, I am feeding Canadian Night Crawlers.

I tried a red wiggler to see if he would eat them, as I'd read they don't like the taste, but he ate it. I just need to wait until they've bred enough to be sustainable.
