Vulgaris/helveticus morphs

About two weeks ago I collected 10 larvae from a local pond. Now six of them are on land, and most of them have already started eating. They are much more active then I thought they would be and day in day out they're constantly exploring there enclosure. Here's a pic of them:

they look like they are vulgaris to me i also collected a few larvae and kept them for a while, but they morphed a while back and i released them. what do you plan to do with yours?
 
Well I was originally thinking of releasing them, and thus far I have only fed them wild caught food to keep them free of any parasites which they could bring back into the wild if I did release them. But now I think they've already grown accustomed to having large creatures (humans) walking around them, and I'm worried if I released them they wouldn't have a chance against predators.
 
i don't think you'd need to worry about that, especially if you put them into your garden.
 
Wow, Looking back at this picture makes me realise just how amazingly fast these guys grow.
