Vomiting axie

no she didn't eat any gravel or rock and today she refuse to eat, when she snap it and then she spit it out but her gills are ok this one.the other axy which her gills are smaller is fine she look enjoy and eat a lot.thank you joan and cynthia.

kung foi i had the same problem with the gill filements completely dissapearing and my axy vomiting back up some of the food i would give him. It turned out to be the water. It was high in nitrite. but now my water has started to build up it own bacteria the axy's gill have begun growing back and it doesn't vomit up as much. try using products that boost bacterial growth and it should be fine in time.

"Cycle" is a waste of money as it doesn't work. Cycle your tank the good ol' fashioned way like the rest of us.

cycle isnt so bad as compared to stress zyme etc. If you are doing fishless cycling i dont see any reason not to give it a try. I have always used cycle never had a problem, tried stress zyme thatt ank never cycled any faster.

I do. It contains nothing beneficial for cycling. It does not contain the bacteria necessary for cycling. It's a waste of money. By stress-zyme I think you mean Start-zyme, which is also a waste of money for the same reasons.

no by stress zyme i mean stress zyme havent heard of start zyme.... Its just a difference in opinion and is pretty controversial to begin with. Either people agree or dont its quite simple, each their own.

Oh and cycle has 11 different bacteria and contains some amount of ammonia for fishless cycling. I am not denying this stuff is just hyped etc and with fish i wouldnt use cycle.

I'm just telling you that they keep it on the shelf for months at a time, and although it may have contained live bacteria at one point, it contains no live bacteria when you purchase it. The only 'instant cycle' product out there with any verifiable live bacteria counts is Bio-spira, which is kept refrigerated, and has a short shelf-life, and is fairly hard to come by.

true yeah i wasnt arguing
