The following links will take you to three movie clips of my T. marmoratus chowing down on some crickets. I went through hell trying to upload these the last few days and finally had to settle upon uploading them to my parents website. These may be moved within the next few weeks, and if they are I'll post the new links in this thread. Also, these movies range from 4-8 MB in size, so they might take a while to load depending on your internect connection speed- they're well worth it though. Enjoy! On to the clips:

This first one shows just how quick marms can move when they're motivated. http://www.dealerservicenetwork.com/movies/Movie-1.mpg

This second one is a short clip of the runt (my smallest of the group) looking to feast. http://www.dealerservicenetwork.com/movies/Movie-2.mpg

The runt finally grabs a cricket and devours it. http://www.dealerservicenetwork.com/movies/Movie-3.mpg

Awesome video Jeff! For some reason I can only watch the first one, and its really interesting to see the one T. marmoratus jogging to the other side to feed. Do you dust your crickets with a calcium powder before you feed them to your newts? I like how the movement of the crickets gets their attention, reminds me of my friends Tiger Salamanders who lie patiently under their logs and snap up the crickets when they run by!

I will be taking these videos off the web sometime next week. If anyone would like to download these videos please let me know and I'll make them available to you.

The movies have now been removed. Again, if you'd like to have them, let me know and I'll make them available to download (they're too big to e-mail).
