Ok, I'm just throwing this out there. Would everyone be able to meet there at noon on Sunday? If not, post a time that's good for you and we'll figure something out.
I was thinking of driving up Saturday and driving back Sunday. Saturday would probably be better for those of us who have a few hours to drive and work on Monday.
Because no one agrees with my suggested meeting times, I take it that this won't happen. If anyone cares to meet me personally, contact me and we can set something up. I'll be at the show all Sunday.
now... where is this conference at? so i can get directions on how to get there... it looks like i'm going to be overnighting down there.
Rob, what are your views? if you wanna carpool with me and paul, we'd be happy to let you ride with us. email me, and i'll discuss it with you next weekend (as i'll be at pauls and able to get on yahoo).
I'm back. Sorry about that. Yeah, if you want to carpool sure. I don't know how I'm going yet...a pair of friends of mine may be driving down and we would stay in a hotel while down there, or I may be going alone in which case I may bus or rent a car.
Let me know what's going on and I'll be in touch. I'm going to be there no matter what, and I hope to pick up some Ambystomas for my breeding projects. If anyone will have any available let me know.
Just wondering who will be there. I will be inside the main entrance at noon on Sunday. I will be wearing a wicker hat-easy to recognize. Probably blue jeans and a white or grey shirt. Also, I will have a name tag that says "Dennis Stewart." :-D
I will be arriving sometime on Saturday, staying the night, and going on Sunday as well. Anyone who is there on Saturday I should be able to meet them around 1pm at the main entrance. I'll be sure to head by on Sunday to look for Aaron too.
Rob, perhaps we could all get together for dinner. You, Dave Nash, Isaiah, myself, and anyone else who attends could go out somewhere on Saturday evening, leaving Sunday entirely for browsing.
That sounds good with me. Hopefully my two friends are invited. Here is my hotel information: Sleep Inn in Tinley Park is 708-342-1700 reservation under Rob St. John for my room.
My friend here in Canada (not one of the two coming with me) recommended a place to eat in Chicago, so here is the information:
Fogo de Chao

It looks interesting to say the least, and he says it's quite good. Just tossing up the suggestion.
I will be leaving tomorrow morning around 6am to head there, and expect to be there by noon. I will be going right to the show at that point, and not checking in until later that night. After we check in dinner would be great, and then I think Isaiah would like to hit a pub for a bit.
If anyone needs to contact me please do so immediately as once I'm on the road there will be no way to contact me until I check into my hotel sometime tomorrow evening.
Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.
He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. What do we think? https://www.amazon.com/Reptile-Simulation-Adjustable-Temperature-Tortoise/dp/B0CH1DPGBC
