Question: Unusual Coloration: Chimera or Harlequin?

Good point! Twins have occurred a couple times in my mother's family. Every time I've become pregnant, I think... could very well be twins! Not yet though! Lol

Talking about twins in humans. My fiance is an identical twin and her second pregnancy produced identical twin boys. Talking about weird genetic taking place.

Bette, I want to see more pics as it grows! It looks like it's gonna turn out pretty unique!

Yes, I definitely will post updated pics!
Little Gem looks like it's starting to grow back legs now:happy:

Ok, I finally got a chance to take some new pics of Gem! He (or she!) is doing great now, eating like a champ and growing quickly all of a sudden. I soooo love this little axie, and hope that it continues to do well! I believe that it is now at least 2 inches. I just posted the updated pics in my photo gallery, but here are some for the thread as well:

Gorgeous! That color is getting more and more defined as it grows.

Thank you! I'm so excited to see how it turns out!:D

You know, I think that there was actually another chimera in the batch, but it was very tiny & died from a prolapse I think :(. And unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of it.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
