The Burrow. Axie cave setup

Jared. Good to see another coast lad on here! The cheapest place to get axies from round here is the Maroochydore market on sunday morning. (get there early though they sell out quick)

Their prices vary depending on time of year and how many they have but adults are usually between $15-18 and juvaniles are $10.

Failing that there is a good pet shop in buderim (pittards road) than sell juvaniles for $12.

Where have you been getting yours from?

Hey you interested in raising any eggs this winter? I'm keen on trying to breed mine however being my first attempt i only want to try and raise half a spawning. So consequently i'm looking to give away the other half (really don't want to kull any)

Rheann - Make sure you keep us all informed about your comic. I'm itching to have a look. Can't convince you to give us some sneak peaks can I? lol.

I haven't tried the Maroochy markerts, thanks for the tip. I have bought two axolotls from the pet store in Sunshine Plaza, a couple of juveniles from Currimundi Marketplace and one or two from the pet store in stockland. The latter two stores are overpriced, I've seen tiny juvies in Currimundi for about $20-30.

I would be interested in raising eggs, however, I am going overseas in June - July so it might not work out. If the spawning occurred afterwards I would be very eager to raise some.

Thanks for the help.

I love the last picture of the moonlight and the juvie

Jared - I havn't been to the one in the plaza yet. I hate the plaza too many people, to few car parks! But will investigate anyway.

Currimundi market place have dropped their prices lately to $12, I dont think they were selling many. My girlfriend just bought a very pale (white gills) albino axie from there. Plenty of rocks in its belly though.

I will let you know about the eggs, its all wait and see till it happens. Fingers crossed though.

Hayley - Thanks, I think it looks quite effective at night. The pictures don't do it justice though. I'll post some more piccys when i get something similar set up on my big tank.

Andrew, I will see what I can do

I don't want to give out too much away... but I guess showing the very first panel for page one wouldn't hurt, hehe...

The enemy camp and first panel for the prologue. A page consists of panels, which are pictures of either events or characters or both. Page one will have about 3 panels.

I also have a script written out too for the prologue, and the entire story is thought out from beginning to end. It consists of chapters, which chapter one will begin promptly after the prologue.

Un finished Character busts... Bare with me they are pretty crude drawings. The main Character is the one with the antlers. His name is Shane Poe Laupebaude. The two at the top are his parents, Helene, his mother and Loga, his father. Shane gets his antlers from his mother’s side of the family. Only the male of her race have antlers

Character development of a Dragon that appears several times throughout the comic and plays an important roll in the story. Not sure yet if I will go with this style...

And the first completed panel to chapter one. I still have to fix the branches...

Here's a thanksgiving card of Sammis

Should have posted this on thanksgiving... ah well.

My site officially will be called www.axolotl-mafia.com

but haven't had anytime yet to buy a domain name... *sigh* and I will link it to this site and also eventually get around to drawing the mini Axolotl comic for the page since Sammis, Ludwig, and Moon Cookie are the official mascots. They deserve their own comic lol.

Rheann you have done a fantastic job on everything! Well done. You must be so proud of yourself (well your should be)!! Those 3 characters are amazing!!! I cant wait till see the end result of all your hard work!
Sammis is just too cute. We don't really celebrate thanks giving over here, but yet i want one of those cards!! hahaha

Keep the updates coming.
Love your work Rheann.

Thanks heaps for the sneak peek! Its looking pretty damn good Rheann.

Now i've had a taste i'm finding that i want more! LOL.

Can't wait till you finish it.

That is the cutest little drawing of Sammis. His expression (the satisfied little smile) reminds me of my guys when they're hungry. They seem to pull that one just before feeding time. I guess thats why they're spoilt rotten.

That is the best tank ever. I admire it. In fact i want my tank to look something like that.

Rheann,

I'm insanely jealous. Not only are you and incredible artist but a wonderful tank landscaper too!

Your axie's look very happy and I don't blame them.

Make sure you keep us up to date on how the comic's coming along I can't wait to see the finished product.

Still jealous though lol.

That is one seriously fantastic tank! I love it. Kinda looks like some hidden axie stonehenge. Are your axies pagans? Just kidding.
I have stacked stones / rocks in my tank to make up some "natural" caves but not multi level apartments like your lucky axies, does it ever worry you that they might slip and trap / injure one? Just wondering cause sometimes I get a little paranoid about it. When I get a bigger tank I would love to try some new stuff / designs.
Again fantastic tank!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
