Tank cycled, Axies in their new home

So I've updated the layout. Now theres a little "cave" between a couple of pieces of driftwood and the tunnel. they seem to like it.

Ohh precious! They are so cute! I like the updated part of the tank too! Very effective new hiding spot!

Thanks Jojo

Slows down the waterflow as well and leaves loads of room out the front to feed the kids and stare at them.
My small tank has goldfish at the moment, and seems to be good for growing plants in. Going to get a couple in there good and healthy then move them downstairs. Need more green in there!

i think it would look pretty cute with some of those grass pots in there.
LOL after Rob suggested them (some time ago), ive gone crazy with the grass. Im in love

hahaha

I've got a "lucky plant" or something similar thats growing back slowing/quickly in the other tank. Had it with julio, then the flatmate put it in with his yabbies. Was back to just roots in no time. The oxygen weed in there is flourishing as well. going to get bits of both and use them eventually. Going to keep a lookout for Banana lily's etc as well. Java moss is proving hard to find.

Stoked! Girlf told me this morning that the plant I'm growing back in the goldfish tank is a banana lily. Its what she bought when she got my original tank. No more searching, it'll just be a few weeks before its grown enought and I'll split the roots and go! :D

Just chuck it in the tank now.
How big is it?
My lilly started off really small, quite sad looking really LOL
But, 3-4 days later, it was huge (compared to what it started out as) and lillies were sprouting everywhere. I was really suprised.

Yeah, I'll take it out of its basket and split the roots, leave some in the fishtank and some in the axie tank. Fish tank usually has the light on, where the axie tank doesn't. how light dependant are banana lilies?

ummmm .... sorry Charlie, Im not sure.. BUT i dont have any lights above my tank, nor does the sun ever shine into the tank and it grows fine

Wucked. Think that'll be my mission for thursday (off work.)
Axies will be getting frustrated with things moving and changing the whole time! plant has tiny leaves about 2 cm long at the moment.

You mean that plant actually flowers in the aquarium? It has lily flowers? Wow.What colour? From where can I order it from?

Was that one of my comments or jojo's sherri?

I have a planted driftwood log that has tiny little flowers growing on it occassionally amongst the leaves etc. Don't last too long though.

Jojo is far more knowledgeable about the plants!

Should have more photos.... soon....

Charlie, well done!Pedro looks so much better,he was a bit manky at the beginning wasn't he,poor guy! Both your axies look good

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
