How do I make my 4 T.marmoratus go back in the water? They have been out of the water for a couple of months.

The post is OK here.

You have two choices. One, let them stay on land. If the water temp is over 72F, this is probably a safer option. And if they are eating well, they will "bulk up" better on land than in water. Two, you can reduce their island area gradually until they have no choice but to be aquatic. Be sure they have plenty of plants and wet resting places. They can adapt to this, but if the temp is warm, it's probably better to wait. When the weather cools and the days shorten, they will go back to the water on their own.

Hi Jen, The thing is that 2 of them are a little slim. I have tried to feed them black worms in a dish, small crickets and I'm getting ready to order some fruit fly's and phoenix worms to try, cause they seem to just be going for the small crickets.

I put them in a 2.5 gal. tank with lots of plants and 1 in. of water, is this OK?

It should work. If they are thin enough to be weak, then it's risky, though.

They seem to be climbing the corner of the tank a lot now that they are in the new setup, is this normal, or are they not ready for the water?

If they keep climbing (more than a day or two), then you should return them to land. If they like crickets, give them crickets. Keep trying with the dish of blackworms, small earthworms, etc.

I think that when i get my fruit fly's and phoenix worm's (I'm sending the money order out tomorrow)I will change there tank back to land.

I put them in a little tub today with some small worms and the 2 thin one's started to eat. I'm going to put them back on land cause I have not seen them eat at all when I put them in the tank with water.
