T.marmoratus and T.carnifex eggs

Fantastic animals and photos, Niels! Could you share how you shot the last two pics, especially what material you put the newts on and what lighting you used. Thanks.

I put the salamanders in a white ceramic bowl. Then I take a picture (using a macro lens) with the flash on. I'm playing a bit with the iso and I'm always taking a couple of pics. When I've sorted out the best ones I'll change the contrast and brightness a little making the white parts look even more white. I've got a Canon 1000D with a Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens.
