Awesome videos! I love the active hunting by these little guys. I personally think that cristatus larvae are the most interesting and entertaining of all larvae. Don't know how about other species of cresteds.

Nice videos , thanks for posting this
i love Triturus larvae at this stage and also love your set-up , look so natural
Just curious : have you noticed any aggression between the larvae? i've always had aggression problems with Triturus larvae, no matter how big the vivarium is or how much food is present ,
always end up with a big number of larvae without a piece of tail or arms ect .

Nice :)
I love Triturus larvae too, they are so agressive and active! Watching them propel themselves around chasing after Daphnia is just fun.
Trouble is that all of them will go cannibalistic if given the chance, and even among same size larvae, agression and damage is very common. Good thing they can regrow tails and limbs surprisingly fast xDDD

Thanks.

Yes I've seen some aggression but not extremely. Some of them had a piece of tail missing, but they were chasing the shrimps more actively. The shrimps were much too fast so they were allways present :)

Steven I must tell you: Nice Vid!!! I enjoyed so much the first one!! Totally best music option in a newt video, EVER! Awesome combination... Larvae looking also pretty good.
Keep up the nice work!

Cheers,
Jorge
