Photo: Spotted Chimera?

I believe they were seriously interested. They viewed it more as an art piece versus a breeding project addition. Would I spend $2500 on an axolotl to add to a project? Absolutely not. However, being at no cost to us it will be neat to see how the color evolve and if any of Holy Cows unique color is passed on.

Thanks! Sorry, not for sale. I've been offered $2500 which I hope I made the right decision to wait to sell as an adult. I really want to see how the coloring comes in.

Darn it, yeah... that's a little out of my price range. You should try breeding it before selling, anyway. :D
Maybe in a few years you'll have a bunch of little ones that you can then sell to all of us!!

Here is another updated picture. Not a lot has changed since the last picture but Holy Cow is a female. :)

She looks like Blue Cheese.

It seems like chimaerae have a prevalence for being female.

Thanks so much. She is amazing. She is not a complete half gfp. It is more patchy. Here is a picture under a black light.

Is she half gfp? Her coloring is beautiful!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
