The season of rain is coming soon! I brought along a bad (but tiny) camera thinking I wouldn't encounter anything, but there they are.

Thanks guys for the interest. For any chat addicts these were the ones from chat but I only got around to posting them just now.

Danny: Yeah...that is the first thing I noticed upon seeing the little things. They looked almost front heavy. I wonder how big they are when they just hatch?

Pin-pin: Nice finds! What subspp. should that Ensatina be. I have bad luck finding Taricha.
 
Nice work - these photos made me think of one of the tradeoffs associated with my recent move from CA to MI.
