Small terrestrial setup for CFBN.

Yep, now it lives here- http://www.caudata.org/forum/f1173-...ellied-newt-tank-post-yours-2.html#post349068 The newt is sometimes resting by laying on Scindapsus.

They're always aquatic. The only reason they'd be living exclusively out of the water is if something was wrong with the water. It seems that since your newt is taking to the water again, though, that everything's fine now. I just felt I should let you know. Also, you didn't get rid of your terrestrial setup, did you? That's what it sounded like in your last post. You could always use it for some other terrestrial species, or you could just set it out as decoration for your house. It's a very pretty setup. It'd be a shame if you got rid of it. Either way, good luck with your newt! If you want tankmates for him, get more newts of his species.

Stress can also play a factor although usually that subsides and the newt takes to the water. Also mine was an extreme escape artist. Always scoured the walls and climbed through the electrical cord slits in the top of my cover somehow. Then I would wake up the next morning and he would be making his way down the stairs like he owned the place.

Sometimes I think if i had known half the stuff I do now maybe they would have lived for more than 9 years...

Anyway beutiful setups both of them!
