Bah, I guess I'm gonna go back to just the frozen bloodworms. I've tried 3 times since the first time with the nightcrawlers. The 2nd time, he never got the whole thing down and I ended up taking it out and tossing it. It was only half a worm, too. This time (today) I cut it into 4 pieces, and still, he tried, but did not succeed in getting any of the pieces down. Now the worm is definitely dead and turning pale, being in that water for so long, so in a bit I'm gonna remove that too. His appetite has increased quite a bit since the first nightcrawler experience, and I've been feeding him frozen bloodworms in greater frequency. I'm sad that I have two tubs of worms in my fridge going to waste. My tiger salamander wouldn't eat them after the first time. I guess they weren't as tasty as crickets and mealworms, lol.
What's even more disturbing, somehow half of the worms escaped from their dirt tubs and into the bottom of my fridge... I think they all died in the corner, I better take them out before it gets nasty in there.... Good thing I kept them in a separate compartment... and in my own mini-fridge... Ewww... I'm sure my roommates would have been very upset, lmao...
