Show ya Ya Tatts Thread

Dawn, thats a serious part of the consideration process, traditionally the right side of the face depicts the maternal line and the left the paternal so at least I wouldn't be tattooing the mother side.

Zoe, I kinda like the shock effect, even though there has been a huge resurgence in Ta Moko in NZ, facial moko still freaks alot of kiwis out.

Eve, regretably there are not many practitioners of the original form of Ta Moko, however they are around and yes, I kinda like the chiselled effect sort of a cross between scarification and tattoo. I have a good friend who at 50 decided on a traditional Moko and he said "It Bloody Hurts" So still undecided.

Look, Ian, the yin-yang smiley you chose for your sig line is your face, half-tattooed! :yin-yang:

True that Dawn I didnt realise, could that be an omen?

You are all very strange. :p

Dawn you look cute in that wedding photo.

I've seen it done the traditional way, it was a leg piece ... the guy's face didn't make it look like it was pleasant ... I nearly fainted when I saw the amount of blood the tattoo artist was sponging off.

Here is my tree frog I got for my birthday :)

The mealworm isn't part of it... I just thought it was funny :D

I'm planning on getting a dendrobates polywog next summer

I love your red-eye tatoo. I have been thinking of getting one too since I have bred this species. I would ad to it every time I bred a new species.

Thanks guys,
I love it too! He's always looking over my shoulder!;)

Got more done on my Sleeve on friday.

Sky is being filled in.

Oranges, yellows, pinks, purples and blues..... crazy angry sunsets :D

I don't personally have any tattoos, however one of my more rebellious gigliolii, Orange Boy, AKA,
"Lil' Killa" has several. The stuff these critters get into nowadays:rolleyes:

Ok, so I got two more over the weekend. The newt tattoo is still a work in progress as I want to get some more detail done to it. The breast cancer one is in remembrance of my grandma or my nanny as I called her.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
