Well, it happened again for the second time in as many months. The bag was too small, it wasn't properly sealed, the air leaked out, the bag colapsed, the animal arrived dead. This is a plea to all who Ship axolotls. Zip lock bags don't really seal all that well without extra precations and if you must use them please use the really big heavy duty ones (doubled fish bags like aquarium shops use are much better). Then put them in a box (preferably styrofoam with cold packs) that is big enough to actually hold the bag without squishing. I know that probably most of you are aware of all these things but when one has to look long and hard for particular genetic types it is heart breaking to have them arrive dead when they didn't need to.
