I still think its a good idea, the more homes for axies the better.
So long as their parents think about these things, they will be good homes too.
I think the problem lies with the petshop's, not the people who buy them.
If the petshop says do this, why would people have any reason to doubt them?
I know I certainly didn't, I was so mad at them when I found out that the "care advice" they gave me was a load of <font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font>!
Every time I visit a shop that sells axies I always make sure that I speak to the keeper, just to make sure they know what the conditions should be.
Half the time it makes no difference at all, but I go home knowing I've tried.
This one place, THE HOLLYBUSH, is awful to axies.
They are over crowded, in warm water, with massive water current, UVA lighting on 24/7 and small gravel just to mention a few things.
Every time I try to tell them they are wrong they just say, "well this is how they are kept at Dudley Zoo, so it is right".
Or they say, "well one of our keepers has kept them as pets for 10 years, and he says its fine."
There's just no telling them. I've gave them the address to this forum, but it obviously does no good
