Please post Pics of your Axies here!

Oh good! You found them then. Haha, stupid me wasn't looking hard enough!
lol.gif
I'll go check again and see if I can find a link for everyone.

Well since theres all this talk about tanks, here is my new tank set up, not complete yet, but its getting there. Axies aren't in the tank while I'm changing it, just the gold ol' guppies (the ones that I feed their babies to the axies every couple months lol).

And heres a closer pic of the "jungle" part of the tank.

Isn't that funny? I was so tired last night I didn't see the links you posted Cynthia

Those aren't the same as the branch that I have in my tank, but they have those very same ones at the petstore. There are much bigger pieces to find at the store. If anyone lives near a petsmart adn would like a branch, check out the site for the smaller ones, and check out the actual stores for the bigger branchse ^_^ These branches are awsome ^_~

Rheann - I didn't mean to weird you out.... the links were not there last night I edited my post today and listed the links to save you the trouble of searching for them

Actually my substrate is a mix of 2 color sands. I mixed green with white so it makes a lighter color green so its easier to see when they make messes. Really bad pics tho taken with the camera on my computer and the tank had a fluorescent plant light on it when I took the pic so it makes the sand look different in pics.

Ah, I see now Cynthia

I was beginning to think I was starting to go crazy staying up so late every night lol. Green sand Grant? looks blue lol.

Hey guys (and girls)
happy.gif
i live in New Zealand and i would really love one of those tree roots from petsmart for my axies tank. The problem is i don't know if they can post them all the way over here. What do you think??

i love the tree root thing to! i wish we could get em here in Australia...i dont think they ship here either
sad.gif

I am surprised australia doesnt have tank decorations? I am sure you can find it somewhere try ebay.au perhaps.

Ok, I've put it off long enough. To all the Aussies on this site, doesn't all these messages about how good these roots are just make you laugh?

Certainly makes me chuckle, but then, I'm not terribly sophisticated.

And to those people who aren't Aussies, I'll just let ya know that root over here means the same thing as shag in England or err, actually I'm not sure what it would be in America?

Since these roots have become so popular, I will be going to petsmart later this afternoon and taking pictures of the largest roots inside of a 75 gallon tank they have displayed. I will also take other pictures of the smaller roots inside of different tanks and post the prices for each different size of root. I will post them when I get back from the store, so everyone can look forward to seeing some more roots lol.

The pet shop local to me has resin tree roots for aquariums. The biggest problem is trying to chose which I like best. I like 1 then like another but 2 would be too much in the tank. Woo is me.lol

It's not that we can't get tank ornaments, dev, but these tree roots are fairly new to the USA market, aren't they? It takes time to distribute products internationally...if the manufacturers want to, that is. Our pet shops here focused more on selling puppies & kittys & their associated products previously, however, changes have occured in both stores & fish have been placed in the entrance areas. They are also increasing their associated products.
There were 12 Axies in 1 store I went to today. That's the most I've ever seen here. 7-same family & others from various different family's & ages. I want to add a

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
