Heres mine Yoda and Darth..by the way Monique you might get hastled by a few ppl on this forum for feeding gold fish because they can carry some diseases, I feed my axies guppies occasionally but they are bread at my home. But here they are!

Yes, mine have been known to stand on their tails, and heads too, occasionally.

My mum broght the goldfish from the petstore because the petstore owner said that axolotls love to eat goldfish!

I'll just let you know before someone freaks out about it lol, but my axies too love to eat an occasional fish! However, goldfish can be very aggresive and even tear up axie gills. But the problem with store bought fish is that they are bred in huge breeding tubs and are heavily inbred and can carry parasites, bacterial/fungal infections, and disease. I have tried all finds of food with my axies and what I have settled on is a diet mainly of redworms (my axies love them although some caudatas won't touch them), chopped up nightcrawlers, and Indiana University pellets. The pellets would be impossible for you to get in Ausie but the worms are great because of their nutrition and axies love them! I also feed my axies frozen bloodworms, frozen beefheart (half a small cube each once a month becase axies aren't good at digesting mammal flesh), occasionally crickets, and I have even fed them frozen krill as an occasional treat, and about 1 guppy each every other month (they are bred at my own house by myself and I have never had any disease or anything of that nature). Just thought I'd tell you a few food options for axies, but as I'm sure you've been told a million times variety is key!

these are my five axies Marilyn(leucistic), Nigella(dark wildtype), Toni(Golden Mutant),Oliver(light wildtype) and Alberto(white albino).the golden mutant and the dark wildtype are sisters.

My three Axies, Titus (white) Mr. Nibbles (wild type) and Grimace Gargamel (black color morph) Grimace Gargamel is really hard to take pictures of right now because I took these while it was dark outside and we have very poor lighting in our apartment. I will get some hopefully better pictures of him up when I can open the front door and let some of the natural light of day in to show off his nice coloration. She's so very dark. Black sand isn't very flattering for her. I think she is a she.

I also don't have the rock pvc pipe I made displayed in the tank at the moment.

Rheann your tank looks absolutly fabulous. I could sit there half the night looking at a tank like yours. Great inspiration.

Some better pics ^^ I hope ^^; yellow bucket forgot to move it so it wouldn't be in the picture.

Oh My God! That is the most beautiful tank. I love the tree root feature, that looks unreal! you should be proud of yourself for doing such a good job! what is the tree root thingy made of?

Thanks so much Hailz! You guys are too much with your nice comments o^_^o I think the tree root is made out of some sort of hard plastic stuff, the same stuff that most other aquarium decorations are made out of, or I could be wrong because it feels really hard, it is also really durable. The fake plants are silk and have bulb bases that actually look like plant bulbs. They come from a company that really does nice outstanding work on their plants ^_^. The fake tree root also comes in much bigger sizes. I think this is one of the smaller versions.

Titus, Mr Nibbles & Grimus look happy in their home

It looks great.
You have certainly got some good artistic talents Rheann. It's good to see them.

I'm glad to see them all.
Thanks for sharing them.
When I get a decent digi cam I'll have some catching up to do.
Regards, Ros.

Rheann - Love your new set up, that root looks fantastic. I am going to have to have one of those.

Thanks so much again you guys! ^_^ Cynthia, I checked on the petsmart website. I don't think they have the roots on the website, but they do have them at the actual stores and they come in different sizes from small to extra-large. I think I have either small or medium, and there are different types. When I upgrade my tank to a 35 gallon long tank, I am going to get this big root that twists up towards the cealing. I suggested it to eric, hope he tries it because it really is a beautiful root! The one I have now cost me $20. If your local petsmart doesn't carry them, you can ask them to order it for you and I think they will be happy to ^_^ Post pics if you get the root!
