Hello all,
I've been raising a few species of Ambystoma for work, and I thought that I would post a couple of photos of some relatively recent metamorphs. The first and third photos are of mole salamanders (Ambystoma talpoideum). This was my first time raising this species, and I was astonished at how large the larvae grew prior to morphing! The second photo is of a spotted salamander (Ambystoma maculatum). Next to the talpoideum, I feel like the maculatum metamorph is a runt, but it is eating well.
