Liam, I bet the yawning and contortions were some last stages of the shedding process.

. I thought maybe by having her eyelids closed and tensing, then relaxing she would "pop off", or loosen any skin remaining around her eyes and elsewhere - or somesuch - but i'm really not sure!

WOW...do I feel stupid now. I have 4 of these guys and I was totally unaware you could make these guys semi aquatic. I suppose aquatic for breeding right? I have mine in a total land setting BUT it's misted often. Mine are still young though. They're only about 2 1/2 inches long and 2 are still red/orange.
 
I even printed that article a long time ago.... where have I been?
