Northern Spain/French Pyrenees Salamander trip

well yeah, that does reach to the shores of the channel, though I wasn't too sure...

It's great to see those shots of wild salamanders and their natural habitat. Thanks for posting!

Hi, where in Burgos was that photo taken??
I´m from Burgos and i´d love visiting that place.
About the cantabria pictures i only have to say that cantabria is the most beautiful place i know.

We'd like to give no more locality data except the north of Burgos... It should't be that hard to find the species in that area!

Cantabria is indeed very beautiful. We drove through PN Saja Besaya which looked really undisturbed.

Saja Besaya is probably the most natural and beautiful zone of Cantabria.
Oh..and i understand you not telling the location...i shouldn´t have asked.
Believe it or not i´ve never seen a wild marmoratus, and i´ve only seen alpestris once in Cantabria. Helveticus is the species i´ve seen my whole life. First newt i ever saw and the second i like the most after marmoratus.
