My next nerdy project: Bowser's castle

I usually don't like tanks with different themes but this is however a fun idea! So I just have to follow your thread.

Everone likes super mario.

Except Luigi  anyways I can't wait to see what this one's going to look like. Good luck to you

2nd coat of cement. I used mortar this time which mixed and spread much easier than the cement. I also added some cement dye. Too much from the look of it. I was hoping for a dark gray and it looks almost black. Hopefully it'll lighten some after it dries.

awesome!

was your first layer straight cement? that would be tough to work with. :p

a good product is quickwall it has fiberglass in it and is strong, comes in white which is nice for dying it other colors. straight cement has no strength and mortar hopefully wont be too crumbly but it may, you could also add acryl60 to mortar to fortify it or antihydro is even better but only a good masonry shop might have that.

give it a two week soak in low ph water like 6ish (muratic acid added to lower ph) and youll be good to go.

Mortaring is done. Waiting for it to set so I can silicone the decorations to it.

Just to follow up, this project is terminated. Cement is just too messy, affects water chemistry, and hides most of the detail. I also received a 75 gallon aquarium as a gift (thanks Bro!) and am in the process of building a little sumthin' sumthin ' for it instead. It will be castley and awesome, but not Mario related.
