Hello Everybody!
I'm from Hong Kong and I just bought an axolotl today! Would like to share her photo with you!:D
And I think I have to spend more time to work on the tank!

A beautiful specimen. You should raise the water level though.

thats exactely the same colour of my new girl i got last week, wow lucky

Should I raise the water level? I thought I got to keep it low since it's easier for her to breath the air, since I don't have a filter now!

Yeah, she's very cute! She just back my home yesterday but still haven't start to anyway yet!

She doesn't need that much access to air. Her gills will extract oxygen from the water. They like to float about a bit so she'll need deeper water.

I raised the water level into about 5 inches now. And she already ate 5 pcs of soft salmon diet pellets. she looks so cute when eating the pellets!
But I would like to ask how much should I give her daily?
Thanks

...that has to be one of the prettiest speckled axolotls i have seen

I agree, absolutely gorgeous!
I hope some of my new babies look something like that, that would be cool.
She's just beautiful. Beautiful!

Yeah! She's so pretty! And she's looking at me inside the tank when I was in the shop and consider which one I should buy, then I chose her, although I preferred to have a male one first.

I just changed a new bigger tank for my cutie! She looks so happy after moved to the new home and playing all around, even eat a lot last night!
All I want to do next step's to buy a nice filter!

might also be a good idea to get a cave or design some hiding spots for her to go in. you should think about removing the thermomater (hope i spelt that write) from your tank also cause i had one of them in my tank and my axie smashed it, lucky for me i was feeding at the time but the contents are really toxic, i cant remember what it is i think its mercury??? be very careful. keep a watch on your water readings too being a new tank

Mercury is silver and was used in the old thermometers (not sure if the doctor's still use merc ones anymore). These thermometers aren't mercury, I was told but can't remember what they are tho. We have one in each of our tanks.

Mercury thermometers aren't used anymore - you can only buy them as antique collectors items, don't worry.
