I like Otterwoman, a respectable and lenient moderator who can see the difference between a simple debate and hate speech. I received an infraction for simply calling someone "rude" once, so I really do appreciate that otterwoman has given people the floor to defend themselves and their opinions without being labeled as disrespectful.
Overall, my opinion is that if you are able to give an axolotl to someone you know in real life, then you are more than able to explain to them the proper living conditions as well as necessary equipment and requirements for an axolotl tank to thrive. If you have given them all of the information that you have, then as long as they're a respectable person (why would you have friends that aren't?) they will be able to provide that care for an axolotl. An axolotl tank is not hard to keep up with, in fact it's easier than most. Cold? Check. Caves? Check. Axolotls? Check. Just tell them the necessary information and there is no reason why they won't be good owners for an axolotl. And to say that you feel weird giving them away but yet you sell them to people you've never met before... I just don't understand that. It certainly did seem like it was set up to boast on her own abilities and belittle people she felt would be irresponsible axolotl owners.
I do however feel bad that this person's thread got hijacked by all of this lol.
