First, the adults. They are Mesotriton alpestris apuanus. In the last photo, you can see eggs in various stages if you look closely.

My apanus are driving me nuts this year. The females seem to be laying very small numbers of eggs over an extended period. My guess is that it's something to do with the crazy weather in the UK this "Spring":

Winter - Winter - Winter - SUMMER!
 
I took one photo out and moved it to the Frappr Map photo contest.
 
my larvae have hatched and eating daphne, i'm really chuffed.
