Meet Crunchie

Thats ok Karrie, maybe I will go and get him some bait worms. Is alive or frozen better?

I don't think it matters. If you can maybe get both. If he is used to eating frozen you might want to stick with that ( might only want food that moves after getting some) if that dose not matter to you I would try both to see what he like best. Cracker only eats frozen I really don't like dealing with live stuff.

heh. some one has a cracker and someone has a crunchie. very cute ^^ Its like snack-tray party!

To me, Crunchie's colouring reminds me of a crunchy peanut snack! He is a very cute little guy. Good luck with the gills. I am sure he will do well. Seriously, i love his name

Vary true. I didn't even notice the names going togeather. Hey, Kelly if you get Crunchie a friend have you thought of a name how about Soggy.

I'am going to get 2 more soon and trying to think of names for them all ready. I really hope Crunchie is doing better.

Here's a pic of Crunchie's tank. Think Crunchie might be a boy, the cloaca (sp) looks bigger than when first got him/her. I will get a pic asap. Crunchie is hiding behind the tube.

kellie your axie just needs so love and care, as far as food goes i go to woolworths and get the seafood mix from the deli section about $3 worth but ask that it is raw and no spice or sauces have been added, this way you can get your axie variety, i seperate the mix into a ice tray and just defrost a cube at a time. dont feed to often anything cow, ox or lamb, keep these types of food as the occasional treat.

Thats not nice Sander! Kellie's tank is fine.

Oke?
But don´t you see it. There are nog plants in it and the aquarium is to small to.

For your information sander, the tank is fine, its 2 foot. And the reason there was no plants is because I was trying to sort out water parameters and was advised not to put plants in. There is a plant now. Maybe I would think your tank is ugly, but I wouldnt tell you that. So rude

Don't worry about it Kellie, all that matters is that you knew you did nothing wrong.

I'm not worried Susan. I thought a 2 foot tank is a good size for one axie, or so I've read on here.

OK?
I don´t now how lang 2 foot is but for me the thank looks to small.
And if the water isn´t good then use other water.
And I really hope you have got more plants in your aquarium.

It isn't quite as simple as just "use other water". I'm no expert, and I don't know the exact situation, but she was probably trying to work out water parameters on an established, cycled tank. To just "use other water" would require her to completely recycle her tank, putting her Axie in danger.

A two foot tank is 60cm long and its 30 cm wide and holds about 60 litres. As for using other water, how am I supposed to do that? Your right krystal, i was trying to work out parameters on a cycled tank. I had a bit of trouble with ammonia, which turned into nitrites or nitrates, but all is good now and my axie is very happy and content.

kellie your tank is fine for 1 axie, i have kept an axie in a 2ft with no problems, as for plants axies dont need plants all that is required is hidy holes, your tank is perfect. Sanders maybe you should have responded with a different answer instead of shooting down someone, its not nice and this forum is not for negative feedback but to reinforce positive outcomes and to help, maybe you should suggest what benefits more plants could be to an axie tank and ask what size a persons tank is.

kellie your tank is awesome!- my axies live in a awful cramped home in comparison- (there's no need for rude comments here either)i hope you have a lovely new axie soon to enjoy it- you can never have too big a tank surely!
