Interesting thread over on dendroboard. Black Jungle (dendroboard username dartfrogs) have kept marbled newts for years in a dart frog terrarium. I've seen said newts and they are fat and healthy. Having said that, I could never condone them telling others it's fine to keep temperate newts in a dartfrog terrarium. Feel free to weigh in over here:

By the way, if you ever wondered where Ed Kowalski disappeared to so many years ago, he's "Ed" in that thread on dendroboard.

you see,

I know a guy who drives around with his pet reindeer in the back of his pickup truck. Seriously. So far, so good.

yeaa when i went to the reptile expo im whiteplains NY they said that they go great with marbled newts.I didnt say anything and just went on and bought the marbled newts.

Good to see a couple of those guys questioning the logic of such a mix.

I guess, the lower temps for dartfrogs could plausibly be tolerated by T.marmoratus, but i´d be amazed if they bred at all.
I sure hope people aren´t going to start making that mix...it can so easily work badly...
