Marmoratus eating trouble, Please help!

That could just be the hips. Not that it seems to like the water, try live blackworms.

In the first picture, I see the normal "lump" of the hip bone on the right side. In the second picture, there appears to be a hump that isn't the hip bone - just toward the front of the animal relative to the left rear leg. Also, you mentioned above that the lower half of his body is often bent in a certain way. Both these symptoms seem similar to the problem I had with mine, although I hope I'm wrong.

Keep us posted.

It's definatly the hip bone, it just looks so weird because he's so skinny. He just ate his second worm, well the second I saw him eating. He is pretty active. However his back is always bend in an 'S' form. He can stretch, it's just that he always has his back in an S shape.

I'll do a search for MBD

Allright, MDB is a shortage of vitamine d and calcium, that's what I found, but nothing on how to treat it?

Like most nutritional problems, MBD can be prevented, but it cannot be reversed. Your other marmoratus should be given supplements, if possible. But once a spinal curvature develops, there is no treatment.

is it always deadly? Because he seems to improve... he's more active, he can even swim to the surface for air now, normally he had to climb via the rocks or plants.
