limb fallling off? i just got it today

I bought 3 firebelly newts from the pet store today and they looked fine but right now i just checked my tank and one is missing a limb? i've had this happen before but not on the first day i put it in my tank? the last time it got infected and started growing white fuzz and my newt died. i don't want the same thing to happen so can someone tell me what i should do or is this normal?
