Larvae dying

Another couple died over night and just noticed that one of the newly hatched ones is a spinner. Should I put it out of it's misery or just leave it, no doubt it will die soon

A spinner in this sense is a larva that can only swim in circles or spirals. This is caused by a genetic defect, and makes it difficult or impossible for the animal to feed.

Alison it sounds like you may have just got a bum clutch of eggs..?

Poor thing is spiralling like a corkscrew round the tub, making me dizzy just watching it

Terri, exactly as Eva said, they don't usually live long but any amount of time spent like this must be horrible, I think it better euthanase it, just not sure if I can... or how
