Jabba's Been A Busy Girl

Hi Shannon,

Lovely to hear from you sorry about the lack of contact my axies, newts, fish, larvae and 3 jobs have my head spinning at the moment :yawn: not sure whether I am coming or going :)

Its all so exciting but am stressing about some of them and the fact we are on holiday for a week in 3 weeks oh such bad timing Jabba :eek:

Loving watching them grow and Zak and Ella are stupid excited, cute axolotls mummy cute cute!! xxx
 
I love the one that dashes around at 0:18! It's so weird to think my fat plods were once that tiny! Glad to see they're doing well. =]
 
Having never raised any axies myself, I'm rather curious about what happens to them all later. Is there a high mortality rate after they hatch so you only end up with one or two? I know the little buggers seem to like the taste of their siblings, so do you just leave a bunch in a container and go survival of the hungriest?

Or do you end up with lots left over and give them away to friends/LFS etc? There just seems like an insane amount of cute babies to rehome (and I have a bad feeling if I ever raised some Id want to keep them all! :p)

LOL me neither this is a 1st sowe shall have to see what happens! I will probably end up giving away as I have loads of babies at the moment and can only keep 1 or 2 :)

I'd help you out but I dont suppose your lovely babies look like international jet-setters? Maybe I should create a thread I seriously wonder about all those little babies someones got to know.
 
awwz soooo cute hi im new an i soo wanna have my axolotl "MO" lolz have babies ive had hime for about 1 or 2 years maybe little longer but he has no signs of being a male so im thinkin MO's a Molly or Missy or somtin wit an M lolz well could somone help me or give me info on how to tell for sure if Missy lolz is a gurl or maybe just a late blemer well if ya can ty ty:wacko:

Bless you, no I am not too sure either and must admit to hating the thought of posting anything live BUT I would rather these go to a good home than make money out of them so will be offering them on Caudata but am thinking Oz is just a little too far as have no idea how long they would take to post plus not sure what paperwork would need filling out, so wish I could help you!! x

Welcome!!! Will have a nose in your albums to see if I can see whether your axies are males or females :)

LOL you dont have any pictures in your albums.
 
Well seems camera has finally packed up amazed it has gone on this long since Ella dropped it amd smashed the screen, looks like I will have to shop today :D

I was mostly joking, I have a feeling that my darling Axie enjoys having a tank to herself and only monster behaviour would ensure from an only child learning they are getting a new sibling lol.

Plus here in Australia we have insanely strict laws regarding imports so I imagine even if you could send them here safely, they wouldn't be allowed. I just wonder about all those little babies out there and if they all get new homes :)
