Ok, I just saw one of the babies move. Does this mean that they will start to hatch soon? I'm going to mix the brineshrimp tonight to get ready. I know they can eat their yoke for a while too. They have their full gills now and a lot of pigment. I think most are going to be black but only time can tell.

I'm so excited!

Any day or minute now

.

I thought they were hatching yesterday because they were moving so much. There are both Leucistic and Black Melanoide.

About 60 are going to hatch while the rest did not develop. At least I gave them a chance to.

They're so cute :D

They still have not hatched yet. It has been about 16 days.

Some of them are really ready, while others will not still hatch for several more days.

What is the maximum day that an axolotl can remain in its egg? Isn't it 20 days? The temp has been constant, so hopefully something will happen soon

They're Hatching ^_____^

Only one so far. A few others will follow shortly. I feel so lucky right now.

4 or 5 now have hatched

. Are Leucistics born with black eyes or pale eyes? Some of the babies are gray with a lot of black specks and black eyes, while others are just sort of really pale gray and no pigment in their eyes.

Could anyone tell me what these types might be? Mother is Leucistic, Father is Black Melanoid.

You really need to know the genotype of the parents to determine what colour the offspring will be. So, you will just have to wait until they grow larger to see what particular variant of the albino phenotype the larvae with pale eyes are. The ones with black eyes and pale skin might be wildtype or leucistic, pictures would help with identification.

How many little ones you have now rheann. I sent you 2 messages thru this site, dont know if you got them. Please contact me at redelj1@sbcglobal.net , I have a couple questions for you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Ok, now Bobo decided she wanted to lay eggs lol. Good thing there aren't too many! Last month Moon Cookie layed eggs on the 10th, now Bobo this time on the 10th of this month. Very strange. Hope that Nibbles doesn't get any funny ideas for the next 10th, sheesh.

I'm getting a tank divider soon, I need one..... BADLY. Males on one side, males on the other.

I don't want any more babies for a very long time

But the good news is that Moon Cookies babies are all doing very nicely and starting to grow their front legs

. There are I think black or possibly wild type, white albino, and Luecistic.

Bobo's babies look like they will all be gold albino. The mother and father of those babies are golden albino.

Wow. I glad I seperated mine straight away, 1 lot of eggs is enough for me. How are they doing? have you lost any?

And have you any pis?

Good luck!
