hi all i know how you all feel about wc animals but in the beginning they were all wc animals but i think there has been enough collecting to maintain a good stock of cb animals
 
Thanks Uwe, you are right. For me, the meeting is the best meeting point to talk to friends with the same interest. And mostly I do not even talk about how they keep there newts, but how they are doing, what plans and idea's they have...
to Justin I can just say: in the case of Salamandra...most (sub)species can be obtained from CB, but some people don't seem to be able to raise them properly or don't have the patience to wait until they become adult.

By the way: I had amazing Urodela encounter last week in Italy when I was on vacation there. (For the one reporting on italian species)

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
