How long do axolotls live?

how old do axolotls live for
my oldest one just died he was 6 years old
 
aaron they can live up to 25 or 30 years, I have some axies with 14 years and 16 the oldest.
 
i know this lady that one day found one in her out door aquarium so she chuked it in the pool, went on a 5 year trip to europe then came back to find it had grown to 45 cm, HOLY <font color="ff0000">&#149;</font><font color="ff0000">&#149;</font><font color="ff0000">&#149;</font><font color="ff0000">&#149;</font> AY.
And the water didnt have clorine in it yet as it was brand new and was like 49cm deep (hadnt been filled yet) impresive ay, 45cm thats mad i wish mine was like that
 
i noe but scientists have documented them to be around that. some have even given them speciel chemicals to make them grow. abit stressfull for them though
 
how did the axie just magically appear in her outdoor aquiruim?. what would it have eaten?.
